The Millet Wellness Committee is dedicated to enhancing individual mental health while working to unify the community.  We offer free programs to various age groups, continuous programs and more to meet the needs of our community.

FREE COUNSELLING

The Millet Wellness Committee is providing access to Free, Confidential  Counselling for those in need! 

Seek help when you or someone else has:

  • Thoughts, expressions or behaviors relating to suicide.
  • An overwhelming feeling of hopelessness or sadness.
  • Noticeable change in sleep, weight, memory, concentration, irritability or behaviors.
  • Noticed a change in your mood, behavior or relationships.
  • Concerns about your or someone else’s use of alcohol, drugs or gambling.
  • Talked to friends, family, and/or trusted spiritual or faith based person and require more support.

Millet Wellness will help in the support of:

  • Addiction/substance abuse
  • Communication issues
  • Depression, anxiety, stress, anger
  • Eating disorders
  • Equine-assisted therapy
  • Grief/loss of a loved one
  • Individual, couples or family counselling
  • Relationship issues
  • Self-harm/cutting
  • Sexuality/sexual orientation or gender identity
  • Suicidal Ideations
  • Trauma

Millet Wellness offer 100% Free Counselling Absolutely no fees! Millet Wellness Counselling requires NO REFERALS. To Access Free Confidential Counselling please fill out the intake from.

The requirements to access free counselling through the Wellness Committee are: 

  • Live in the Town of Millet
  • Have no current benefits that cover counselling 
  • or have used all of your current benefits for counselling services

Please fill out the intake form  and email it to milletwellness@millet.ca 

 

What to expect when you access our services:

Once you have completed the intake form email it to Milletwellness@millet.caor Call (780)-387-4554 ext. 110 to speak with a Mental Health Coordinator (Monday to Friday 8-4PM)

Once the form is seen by a Mental Health Coordinator the coordinator will send you a client number and a look book of counsellors. The purpose of the client number is to help ensure 100% confidentiality. This client number will be used between the counsellor and the payment department to keep your identity hidden. You are responsible for reaching out and booking in with your chosen counsellors. If you have been seeing a counselor in the past and would like to keep seeing them please ask the Mental Health Coordinator.
