Family Community Support Services (FCSS)

Family and Community Support Services (FCSS)

The intention of the Town of Millet’s Family & Community Support Services (FCSS) Program is to deliver programs preventative in nature to promote and enhance the well-being among individuals, families and communities.

Please contact Annette Gordon at 780-387-4554 for more information on any of the FCSS programs offered.

Since our staffing is limited, to expand on our program, we also give grants to organizations which qualify for FCSS funding that we feel would be of benefit to our community. Grants that we have recently given out include: Millet School, Senior's Wellness Conference, Wetaskiwin & District Victim Services,  Millet Little PIPS, Millet Seniors and many other community events. If you have not yet submitted your FCSS Grant Application, please do so as soon as possible.

Applications are placed in the order they are received.  Decisions on funding are made during council meetings. Please get your application in as early as possible. All Applications are due January 31st.

To apply fill out the Grant Application form and submit it to FCSS@millet.ca

Millet FCSS offered home support services for those who are permanently or temporarily unable to maintain their homes. This program provides services such as general household cleaning duties, which not only assists in preventing those in need from harming themselves, but also helps individuals maintain their independence in their own homes longer. Clients we serve are generally seniors, or those in need for a temporary period. (Example: someone returning from the hospital, or someone grieving with family to look after).

For information on the Homemaker program, please call Annette Gordon at 780-387-4554.

The Town of Millet FCSS funds to Community Development programs, such as the Family Day, Home Alone Safety, Babysitting Course and Winter Festival.
