Hello everyone,

My name is Seamus Mastre and I'm happy to start working as your new Bylaw Officer. I have been in the bylaw/Peace Officer field since I was 19 and fresh out of college. I'm almost 37 so lets not do the math on that.

I love being a part of a community and its one of the reasons I have done what I have for so long. I started in Jasper (which is where I was born and raised) and moved on to Edmonton as an Animal Control Officer and as a Park Ranger for the last 7 years.  Mental health and peer to peer wellness is a huge passion of mine and that was reflected in my role as the Peer Support Coordinator for all the officers in the City of Edmonton.

I am a huge sports fan and will watch or play almost anything. Big Oiler, Blue Jays and Vikings fan. I'm a music fan and have played most of  my life. The taste in my music has changed though as I've aged. The screaming is a bit loud now for these old ears. Nature and the outdoors is also a passion of mine and I love being outside taking part in a variety of activities.

My single biggest passion though is being a dad to my two beautiful daughters who are 6 & 4. They keep my on my toes and running around but they are the sweetest little things and nothing has been better in my life then being a dad.

I have an open door policy and believe strongly in communication and partnerships. I would love to have a chat any time you see me out and about and your concerns are my concerns. I look forward to integrating myself into your beautiful community.
