TOWN OF MILLET RE-LAUNCH
May 11 2020
The Town of Millet has discussed their relaunch strategy and have decided that we will not be looking at re-opening our offices and buildings at all during Stage 1 of the re-launch. We will be keeping in close contact with AHS and AEMA to ensure we have up to date information on how the Stage 1 is going.
The Province has asked that anyone who is still able to work from home should do so during Stage 1, and possibly Stage 2. It is unknown what is going to happen from stage to stage but we assure you we will keep residents updated as we hear. With the Town of Millet having a small amount of staff, we want to ensure that we keep them healthy and able to proceed with the day to day operations as much as possible.
During this time, we will be updating our facilities to ensure that AHS regulations are followed going forward. This includes plexiglass installations at counters and sanitizer stations throughout town facilities.
Parks and Public Works are still working full time, in a split shift, to keep our employees safe as well as ensure all operations are still continuing. Our office staff have been alternating times in our office and will continue to practice safe work distancing until at least Stage 2, or until recommendations from AHS have changed.
We also want to remind residents that, although the Province has announced their relaunch plans, this in no way means that restrictions have been lifted. The requirements for “social distancing” and no large gatherings are still in place and need to be adhered to in order to proceed through the relaunch successfully.
