Alberta Recreation and Parks Association (ARPA) has been recognizing June as Recreation and Parks Month (JRPM) for the past 20 years. This recognition of the month of June highlights the many benefits recreation and parks bring to our communities and citizens, and acknowledges the strong foundation of recreation and parks facilities and programs in Alberta.

JRPM is in its 20th year of recognizing recreation and parks in Alberta, and across the country. We continue to work towards our vision to make JRPM a household name, so that when June rolls around, every Albertan is eager and excited to spend the month enjoying all the recreation activities and parks they have at their disposal.

To celebrate JRPM and our community, the Town of Millet has signed the official June as Recreation and Parks Month Proclamation. By signing this proclamation, we are affirming that quality recreation and parks resources are beneficial and should be celebrated in our community!

We thank our recreation and parks employees for the work they have done, especially over this past year.
