ADMINISTRATIVE SUPPORT
SEASONAL EMPLOYEE
The Town of Millet is hiring a seasonal administrative employee Seasonal Employees from May 1, 2022 to August 31, 2022 to perform a variety of administrative tasks for the Town.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- To assist Administration with records management retention including but not limited to scanning policies, bylaws and agreements
- Provide assistance to Administration as required
- Answer phones as necessary
Working Hours:
- 70 hours per two-week period, typically day shifts
- Evening and weekend shifts may be necessary occasionally.
Position Requirements:
- Must be able to act in a confidential manner
- Excellent customer service skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work alone
- Must have a criminal record check, and driving abstract meeting the standard established by the Town
- Excellent customer service skills
- Minimum Grade 12 education
- Class 5 drivers license

PARKS, RECREATION AND FACILITIES
SEASONAL EMPLOYEES
The Town of Millet is hiring Seasonal Employees from May 1, 2023, to August 25, 2023, to perform a variety of tasks related to the operation and maintenance of the municipal parks and recreation as well as facilities.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Perform manual tasks to ensure the Town's parks and recreation facilities are maintained to a high standard including but not limited to:
Weeding, cutting grass, trimming, emptying garbage receptacles, collecting garbage, painting, watering flowers and routine inspections of equipment and facilities.
- Learn the safe operation of equipment such as ride-on mowers, trimmers, small tractors, and various hand tools.
- Follow safety guidelines to keep everyone safe on and off the worksite.
Working Hours:
- 80 hours per two-week period, typically day shifts
- Evening and weekend shifts may be necessary occasionally
- Shifts are 10hr/day — 4 days a week (subject to change if necessary).

- Must have criminal records check and, a driving abstract meeting the standard established by the Town Must be able to qualify for the Canada Summer job Grant (between ages of 16-30 and a Canadian citizen)
- Excellent customer service skills
- Minimum Grade 10 education
- Class 5 driver's licence
- First Aid certificate would be an asset
- Candidates must be able to work in a variety of weather conditions and lift 40 lbs.
- Previous experience with equipment including lawn mower, trimmer, hand tools, etc. would be considered an asset.
Rate of Pay:
