Renewal of Declaration of State of Emergency

April 1 2020
The Town of Millet filed a renewal of declaration of a state of local emergency, as of 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, March 31 to continue supporting provincial efforts to contain the spread of COVID-19. The declaration is only valid for 7 days, so it must be renewed weekly for as long as the municipality feels necessary.

The state of local emergency allows us to help prevent the spread of the COVID19 and includes ensuring businesses follow public safety protocols. A reminder that the Province has mandated all non-essential businesses to close immediately. These essential businesses that remain open, must adhere by the rules set forth by the Province, including ensuring the premises are sterile and that social distancing is being practiced at all times.

The Town will continue to do everything we can to ensure the safety of its residents, but a reminder that a lot of this is up to you. Please ensure you are staying home whenever possible and when you do have to venture out for supplies, you practice the social distancing and wash your hands after EACH store you visit.

Stay safe! We can do this Millet!
