NO GARAGE SALES – POSTPONEMENT OF TAX PENALTIES
Council, at their regular meeting of Council, passed a resolution to prohibit garage sales in the Town of Millet, until further notice. Unfortunately, with the inability to enforce the social distancing and the sterilization of items, there is no way to safely conduct private sales at this time.
Council also discussed tax penalties and have resolved to postpone the 18% penalty, which would be applied July 1st to October 1st, to allow residents a few more months to pay the taxes without penalty. Please note that this means ALL outstanding taxes MUST be paid by September 30th to avoid a 18% penalty. Taxes are still due June 30th but no penalty will be applied until October 1st.
