The Town of Millet has just been advised we are under a WATER RESTRICTION due to the hot temperatures.
Unfortunately, this means that the Town must cease any non-essential use of water, until further notice. This includes closure of our Splash Park, which will be shut down at 1pm today!
This also means that the water restrictions, in place from May to September each year, will be closely enforced. Odd number addresses are asked to only water on odd days and even number addresses on even days.
Residents are also asked to try and avoid washing vehicles, driveways and home exteriors. Avoid filing jacuzzi and swimming pools, as well as take shorter showers, do less laundry and use rain barrels when possible.
This is not something any of us want to hear during these extreme temperatures, but unfortunately we must follow the restrictions set forth.
