Garbage is picked up EVERY Friday.
Residential garbage service is provided for the Town of Millet by GFL (Formerly Evergreen Ecological Services). Only waste carts assigned by GFL are permitted.

Recycling will be picked up every other Monday. Please use Clear Blue bags only and ensure it is out by 7:00 am.
There is no limit to the number of blue bags that may be placed for collection.

Grass Collection Program / Millet Burn Pit Information

Grass bag collection is every Monday beginning in May until the end of October. Grass MUST be in CLEAR bags and cannot weigh more than 40lbs. Smaller branches will be picked up if they are no longer than 3 feet and are tied and bundled.

PLEASE NOTE:  If any of your branches are infected with black knot, please ensure these are marked so they can be placed in a separate area.

The burn pit is open every second Saturday from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. from May to October.  Only clean combustibles and organic waste such as trees, branches, and untreated lumber are accepted.

Location: West on 616 from the Petro Canada corner to the top of the hill west of the Agriplex - 56 St. (Power transmission line road). Head south ~ 3/4 mile. Lagoon fence gate is on the east side of the road.

Waste Transfer Site (County of Wetaskiwin)

Location: East from Petro Canada, across the tracks - ½ mile on right hand side

Charge: $20 per 1/2 ton load / $10 per mattress / $10 per box spring

Please purchase voucher at Town of Millet Administration Office located at 5120 50 Street 
(during off hours you may purchase from Millet Rexall Drugs - cash only at the pharmacy)

Location: Highway 13 East to 21 South, Past New Norway, over tracks.

Watch for sign before Ferintosh (Edburgh Cutoff).

Off Highway 21 to Highway 609 – on top of hill: Left Side (by Camrose)

Hours: Tuesday & Saturday 9:00 – 3:30 pm. Please take proof of residence (i.e. tax notice)
