2017 Election


Serving the public as an elected official requires a commitment of considerable time and energy. You are getting ready to embark on a Journey that will be both rewarding and frustrating. If you are first time candidate, you will find running for office to be a challenging and exciting experience. 

Below is some information to help you along your new journey. More information can be found on the Municipal Affairs website at http://www.municipalaffairs.alberta.ca/

It is important that you are aware of your responsibilities as a candidate. Please do not hesitate to contact Lisa Schoening with any questions you may have about the election process. Best wishes for a successful campaign.


Nomination Day: Monday, September 18, 2017 from 10am – 12pm in the Town of Millet Council Chambers, 5120-50 Street.

Advanced Polls: October 12, 2017 4-7pm at the Millet Council Chambers, 5120-50 Street.

Election Day: Monday, October 16, 2017 from 10am – 8pm – Millet Community Hall 5107-50th Ave.

ALL CANDIDATES FORUM

The Millet & District Agricultural & Recreation Society will be hosting an ALL CANDIDATES FORUM on Thursday, October 5, 2017 at 7:30pm at the Millet Agriplex. Door open at 7pm, come down and meet your candidates!!!!!
